Résumé
Comic raises a whole series of challen-ges to the translator due to the different codes that articulate it. The translator will have to identify and respect the meaning of the semantic, pragmatic, iconic, phonic and typographic dimensions of the source text. To this end, they will have to use bicultural knowledge, cognitive complements and show creativity to convey in the target text reader the same humorous impact as it did in the source text reader. This paper is based in a case-study approach so that the theoretical concepts are exemplified from a creative translation worshop. The aim is to show the importance of a bicultural for-mation for the translator which will facili-tate the creative translation of this highly complex medium.
